Methodology & data provenance
Built on two local datasets, refreshed continuously from official feeds: a stream of 630 Federal Register notices whose titles and abstracts are mined for HTS references (snapshot fetched 2026-10-18T16:21:47Z), and 2,738 case-level AD/CVD order/review records with curated HS candidates (dataset generated 2026-10-16T16:09:24Z). Matching follows the HS hierarchy: an 8-digit notice family matches when it shares your query's first 8 digits; a 6-digit order candidate matches on the first 6. Notice mining covers only documents that cite HTS codes in their text, so absence here is not proof of absence of an action — always confirm in the linked notices. The 30-day recency figure above ends at the newest publication date in the index (2026-10-16), which can trail the fetch timestamp of the underlying feed. For a census of every trade-remedy notice published over the last 49 days, read Federal Register Trade Remedy Notices: A 49-Day Census.
How do I check antidumping and countervailing duties before placing an order?
Type an HS code (4, 6, 8 or 10 digits, dots optional) into the lookup above. The tool returns every antidumping/countervailing case whose scope touches that code or any coarser prefix of it, drawn from the Federal Register notice stream and the AD/CVD orders dataset — so you can price cash-deposit exposure into a quote before confirming the order rather than after CBP's first entry summary.
Where does the data come from?
Two local datasets refreshed from official feeds: a Federal Register notice stream mined for HTS references, and case-level AD/CVD order/review records with curated HS candidates. Exact snapshot timestamps for both are printed in the Methodology section on this page, and every result row cites its official notice URL.
What does it mean that a case matches my HS code?
Matching follows the HS hierarchy: an 8-digit notice family matches when it shares your query's first 8 digits, and a 6-digit order candidate matches when it shares your query's first 6. Coarser queries (4- or 6-digit headings) therefore sweep in every finer subheading under them.
Is this a binding customs ruling?
No. It is an informational screening aid. Cash-deposit requirements and final assessments are determined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the underlying Federal Register documents, which every row links to.
Does an AD/CVD match change the duty rate my calculator shows?
Yes — materially. Base-rate tools show only the Column 1 general rate, while an active AD/CVD order adds a separate deposit rate set per producer and reviewed annually. Screen the code here first, then open the linked Federal Register scope language to confirm your product falls inside the order before you quote a landed cost.
