Sanctions Party Screener

Company or person → instant match against all 30115 names and 59719 aliases from the UN Security Council consolidated list, the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list, the EU consolidated financial sanctions list and the U.S. BIS Entity List — fully in your browser, every hit tagged by source.

Case, punctuation and word order don’t matter; aliases are searched too

Try:

Which sanctions lists does this screen?

Four public primary lists: the United Nations Security Council consolidated list (1010 parties), the U.S. Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list (19457 entries), the European Union consolidated financial sanctions list (6234 entries) and the U.S. Commerce Department BIS Entity List (3414 entries). Every hit is labelled with the list it came from, and each snapshot carries its own as-of date and official source link on this page.

How does the name matching work?

Everything runs locally in your browser: case, punctuation and whitespace are normalized, then the query is matched against official names AND every recorded alias by prefix, substring and word-order tolerant token matching. Nothing you type is sent to any server.

Why do aliases matter when screening?

Many designated parties appear under transliterated spelling variants or acronyms rather than their official name, so screens that compare only one spelling miss them. Every alias shipped in the source files is searchable here, and hits show which string matched.

Is this legal advice, and what does it cost?

It is free and informational only. Before acting on a result, verify the party against the official UN entry linked from each hit and take your own compliance decision; ExportSonar provides the screening aid, not a binding ruling.
