This text regulates pesticide and metabolite residues in fruit and vegetables by establishing Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), based on the MRLs set by the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Union (Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council), so as to ensure that such residues pose no risk to human or animal health or to the environment.The purpose of the present Addendum is to inform WTO Members that the content of this Salvadoran Technical Regulation has been updated.
