HSN to US HTS Crosswalk Lookup
Enter a six-digit HSN code (or any prefix of one) and get every ten-digit US HTS line under that heading with its general (MFN) duty rate — plus a dispersion warning whenever sibling lines under the same heading disagree. Built directly from the official USITC schedule (23,193 records, snapshot 2026-10-19T13:27:57Z).
The 20 widest-spread six-digit headings
Ranked by the gap between the highest and lowest general rate among ten-digit lines sharing one six-digit HSN heading. These are the codes where picking the wrong statistical suffix costs real money.

FAQ
What is an HSN to US HTS crosswalk?
The international six-digit HSN heading is the first six digits of the ten-digit US HTS line you must file on entry. One HSN heading can fan out into dozens of US statistical lines, and those lines do not always carry the same duty rate - this tool lists every line under the heading with its general (MFN) rate.
Why does one six-digit HSN show several different duty rates?
Because the US subdivides headings by product details such as fiber content, gender or value band. In the October 2026 schedule the T-shirt heading family 6109 as a whole (subheadings 610910 + 610990 combined) spreads across five rate tiers from 2.6% to 32% - a twelve-fold difference between the cheapest and the most expensive tier.
Is this tool free?
Yes. The crosswalk search, every detail page and the dispersion ranking are free to use without an account, and the underlying schedule is refreshed quarterly from the official USITC export.
Methodology & data caliber
- Source. Every figure on this page is recomputed at build time from our copy of the official US Harmonized Tariff Schedule export (USITC HTS REST export, snapshot 2026-10-19T13:27:57Z): 23,193 schedule records in total, of which 19,831 are ten-digit statistical lines grouped under 5,596 six-digit headings.
- Rate caliber (“first-pct”). The displayed ad-valorem rate is the first percentage token found in the general (column 1) duty cell. Where a line stacks an ad-valorem component with a specific one (e.g. “4.5% + 1.2¢/kg”) only the percentage component enters dispersion statistics; the full text is always shown verbatim in the tables.
- Other-rate rows. Lines whose general column contains no percentage and is not “Free” (typically specific duties such as “1¢/kg”) are labeled Other-rate: they appear in every table exactly as published but are excluded from min–max dispersion math. This caliber choice is deliberate and disclosed here.
- Six vs ten digits. The international six-digit HSN heading is the first six digits of the US ten-digit HTS line; the last four digits are US statistical suffixes that never change the legal rate within an eight-digit family but do determine reporting and restraint programs.
